The Olmsted Parks Alliance and Rochester Ecology Partners invite you to hop on a bus with us for a tour of three Rochester’s parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted.

September 17 from 5:30 – 8:00

Meet up at the Genesee Valley Park Roundhouse to travel to Seneca and Highland Parks.

Experts on the history of Rochester’s parks and Olmsted’s vision for them will educate and inform, with nature-based learning educators leading activities that connect participants with the life around us.

Our tour will focus on how public parks and Olmsted’s vision for them are essential elements of a healthy democracy.

• How has the use of parks changed from the ways Frederick Law Olmsted designed and imagined the parks to be used? 

• How do the Olmsted parks represent, influence, or support both environmental and social justice in our community?

Tickets are offered at a sliding scale from $30-$60.
